This program is designed to have a long-term impact on a manager's interpersonal skills and the ability to lead others effectively. This program includes self-paced elearning programs to best accomodate the scheduling needs of busy managers.
This program creates lasting behavior change by providing the program in short sessions over time, as opposed to a 2-3 day training event.
Program Length: This program is designed to be delivered in 6 sessions, generally over a 3 month period.
Interpersonal Leadership Skills Program Process:
Prework: Completion of the Everything DiSC 363 for Leaders®
This is a 360 degree feedback tool to assess the interpersonal competencies for effective leadership. The profile is completed by the participant, their manager, and their direct reports. Peer feedback is optional.
Session 1: Coaching
One-on-one telephone coaching session with one of our professional coaches. During this session, the coach and participant would review the feedback report and finalize the participant's Action Plan for ongoing professional development.
Receive the online self-paced elearning course called "Coaching".
Session 2: Managing Performance Discussions
Receive the "Managing Performance Discussions" online self-paced course.
Session 3: Understanding Behavioral Styles
Receive the "Understanding Behavioral Styles for Managers" online self-paced course.
One-on-one telephone coaching session. During this session, the coach reviews with the participant their behavioral style profile, it's implication for managing their staff, and progress achieved on the Action Plan previously developed.
Session 4: Win-Win Negotiations for Managers
Receive the "Win-Win Negotiations for Managers" online self-paced course.
Session 5: Behavioral Interviewing
Receive the "Behavioral Interviewing" online self-paced course.
Session 6: Follow-Up
Receive an additional Everything DiSC 363 for Leaders® assessment to serve as a post assessment measurement tool.
One-on-one telephone coaching session to discuss progress made since the first assessment and commitment to ongoing professional development.
Ongoing: Reinforcement Tips Newsletter
Each participant will receive a Reinforcement Tips newsletter every 2 months for one year during this program.
