Enhancing Innovation in TeamsSuccessful team members don’t do the same thing at the same time. They do the right thing at the right time. And while team members work together toward a common goal, individuals still must play their individual roles in the process. As organizations rely more and more on teams to innovate, problem solve, produce and compete at the speed of change, understanding and capitalizing on individual approaches to group process is the bottom line on creating high performance teams. Our on-line instructor-led Enhancing Innovation in Teams program requires minimum time away from one’s office duties. The individualized Team Dimensions Profile® helps each participant create an Action Plan for improvement. The reinforcement session enhances ongoing behavior change. About the Team Dimensions Profile®:The Team Dimensions Profile® identifies four key roles in team performance: Creator, Advancer, Refiner and Executor. The profile presents the “Z Process” to map the flow of assigning roles, completing tasks, and handing off tasks to other team members for increased productivity and innovation. Enhancing Innovation in Teams Program Process: Prework: Team Dimensions Profile® Completion of the Team Dimensions Profile®. This online instrument helps participants identify their key role in innovative team performance. Session 1: Enhancing Team Innovation Time: 90 minutes This session reviews key areas addressed in the profile. Techniques are provided for using the “Z Process” to map the flow of assigning roles, completing tasks, and handing off tasks to other team members to enhance innovation. Each participant creates an Action Plan and is asked to report their progress during Session 2. Session 2: Reinforcement Session, held at least 21 days after Session 1 Time: 60 minutes This session is designed to serve as a reinforcement vehicle for the participants in the program. During this time, participants discuss the successes and challenges they experienced when implementing their Action Plan. Suggestions are provided for enhancing their skills and making an ongoing commitment to Team Innovation.
